I Have Collected All the Writings of The Empire...
... and Burnt Those Which Were of No Use was created by Italian composer Emiliano Pietrini and Berlin based American composer Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt. The fourteen chapters are narrated by fourteen poets whose voices imagine a dark dystopian journey lit only by fires of dissent.
Writings of the Empire is visualized by American videographer Cecelia Chapman, scouting further down the same path as her earlier 2016 video with Marquardt, Drone Drama: Music for the Dead.
This is the first time Globoscuro (Emiliano Pietrini), Cecelia Chapman and Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt have worked together. Although Marquardt and Pietrini have collaborated on many projects together, and Chapman and Marquardt have collaborated for ten years.
